Pope Stunned: God Was Behind Big Bang

On 06 January 2011, Pope Benedict broadcasted a homily from his studio window overlooking St. Peter's Square, in celebration of the feast of the Epiphany.

Frances D'Emilio reported for the Associated Press:

Cardinal: pope stunned by anti-Christian violence

Philip Pullella reported for Reuters:

God was behind Big Bang, universe no accident: Pope

Philip Pullella also served as the reporter for Agence France-Press which used same headline:

God was behind Big Bang, universe no accident: Pope

The Pope did not speak of "anti-christian violence" or the "Big Bang" in his homily.

AP reporter D'Emilio plucked a quote from the Epiphany homily of Genoan Cardinal Bagnasco that resulted in her headline:

"Together with the Holy Father, Benedict XVI, we are stunned in the face of religious intolerance and so much violence, and we are asking ourselves, in sorrow: why?"

The dually-employed Pullella dared to delve where the Pope did not to enable his headline:

While the pope has spoken before about evolution, he has rarely delved back in time to discuss specific concepts such as the Big Bang, which scientists believe led to the formation of the universe some 13.7 billion years ago.

The three largest news distributors for the English-speaking peoples deployed these two headlines to all planetary news outlets with the imperial casualness of a drone strike.

"Never let the facts get in the way of a good story" has risen to the level of being dogma for the politically correct.

As enlightened residents in the New Age fully cognizant of the dual nature of reality, we are entitled to explore the gospel truth as opposed to political correctness. The voice of gospel truth is expressed by the Pro-Am contributors of Examiner.com, providers for EIN Presswire, distributor to global professionals. The Examiner's headline about the Pope's homily read,

Pope defends God's role in creation.

This headline is an accurate statement. However, writer Vicki Priest Stiegemeyer pushes her readers out on a limb with this sentence in her article:

"God, being spirit, cannot be disproved through the methods of science, which measures and tests the material."

Dear god, we are civilization enamored of our own ignorance. We can emphasize this by pointing out that in the politically correct camp we have the use of the term "Big Bang" (capitalized no less) to describe our theory of creation. In the gospel truth camp we have religious representatives of "God" (by every name) congregating at the United Nations, who get along just swell with each other but do not or can not persuade their followers to do the same with their fellows.

The pope is considered to be the most important and powerful of God's emissaries on the planet - even the Dalai Lama kisses his ring. Popes throughout history break bread, sip wine and sign agreements with the planetary big shots who fund, arm and perpetrate atrocities that destroy the planet and its people. Popes themselves have funded, armed and perpetrated. We have become used to the next generation pope coming along and chalking up their predecessors' deeds to "human" error, vulnerabilities, frailties, etc.. The board is erased and the new pope puts on the ring and sets sail with lofty visions of "God's Plan". And we all know, or should know by now, what "God's Plan" is: The ultimate destruction of every human being except his "Chosen Ones".

That's a bang big enough to stun alright.
